"Hunker down" with Betsy and the lovable characters of Pecan Bayou in the latest Betsy Livingston mystery from cozy author Teresa Trent. Recipes and helpful hints included.
About the Author
Teresa
Trent writes hilarious cozy mysteries that take place in the small town
of Pecan Bayou, Texas. She was first inspired to create Pecan Bayou
after visiting the Texas Hill Country to view the millions of springtime
flowers alongside the roads and highways. The town of Pecan Bayou does
not exist in Texas, but there is a body of water in the state with the
name. Pecan Bayou does exist in Teresa's imagination and heart.
Her latest mystery, Murder for a Rainy Day is the sixth book in the Pecan Bayou series featuring all of the crazy characters who live in this cozy little town in Texas.

My Review
This is the first book of author Teresa Trent's that I've read and I really enjoyed it. Murder for a Rainy Day is a cozy mystery that takes place in the small Texas town of Pecan Bayou. We just went through that part of Texas earlier this year so I feel like I can see the town in my head!
This is the sixth book in Teresa Trent's Pecan Bayou series featuring amateur detective Betsy who also writes a column on handy hints for the local paper. She is also ready to pop...as in very very pregnant. And there is a hurricane coming. And her weather man husband wants to storm chase. Then there are the missing oversize animal replicas. Ghosts. And a murder. Lots happening in this fun fast read.
At the end of the book there are helpful hints on epoxy glue, recipes, baby shower games and a pre-baby checklist. I'm going to have to try the Buttermilk Pecan Chicken recipe!
If you are looking for a well written light read then Murder For a Rainy Day is for you!
