Until one day, when she finds a body floating in the water. Who was this woman and why was she wrapped so carefully in white burial cloths before being hidden in the fast-flowing depths?
DCI Dana Tulloch hates to admit it, but she’s fond of the mysterious Lacey. Even if she keeps on interfering in her investigations, and is meddling with the latest floater case. But now she's got to break some terrible news to her - news that could destroy Lacey's fragile state of mind.
And Lacey will need to keep her wits about her because there's a killer that's lurking around her boat, leaving her gifts she'd rather not receive . .
About the Author
Sharon J Bolton was born and brought up in Lancashire, the eldest of three daughters. As a child, she dreamed of becoming an actress and a dancer, studying ballet, tap and jazz from a young age and reading drama at Loughborough University.
She spent her early career in marketing and PR before returning to full-time education to study for a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) at Warwick University, where she met her husband, Andrew. They moved to London and Sharon held a number of PR posts in the City. She left the City to work freelance, to start a family and to write.
She and Andrew now live in a village in the Chiltern Hills, not far from Oxford, with their son and the latest addition to the family: Lupe, the lop-eared lurcher. Her daily life revolves around the school run, walking the dog and those ever-looming publishing deadlines.
My Review
Sharon Bolton is a fabulous thriller writer and the Lacey Flint series is mesmerizing!
A Dark and Twisted Tide is impossible to put down. Set in London on the Thames River, Bolton takes the reader into the world of the Thames River and it is a fascinating world. It was very interesting to me as some of my ancestors were longshoremen on the river.
Lacey Flint is attempting to live a quiet life on her yacht which is moored in a marina on Deptford Creek which leads into the Thames. She has gone back to working in uniform in the marine division. And she has started swimming in the Thames in the early morning hour. Scary just to think about that! Lacey finds a body in the river and the story takes off from there. There are lots of twists and turns to keep you on the edge of your seat. The ending completely surprised me which is always a bonus.
Did you know that every cm of your hair contains information on one month of your life? I didn't before but I do now.
Highly recommend A Dark and Twisted Tide which is available May 8th!!! Do yourself a favor and read it!
